1. Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by and under 

   supervision of the staff nurse. 

2. Respond quickly to patient’s request for assistance.
   1. Assist with patient’s hygiene, elimination, mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking needs while observing and reporting any specific changes to the staff nurse. 
   2. Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patient’s room within the unit. 
   3. Assist in the maintenance of supply and storage areas.
   4. Transporting specimens to laboratory.
   5. Escort patients to and from Radiology Department as directed by nurse on duty.
   6. Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient’s room for admission/discharge.
   7. Assist the nursing staff during the lifting and turning of the patients and transporting them in wheel chairs or movable beds
   8. Works evenings, nights, week-ends and holidays according to the schedule compiled by the head of department.
   9. Assist in Patient movement either on wheelchair and stretcher, beds or ambulance transfer within Hospital scope of work.

Qualifications

1. Qualification:   High school graduate.
   1. Experience    : Not applicable.
   2.        Skills               : Demonstrate motivation to work in a health care environment.
   3.        Acceptable command of oral and written English required. Knowledge of Arabic     

               language is desirable but not essential.
