Job Description
Job Title: Receptionist / Patient Services Coordinator
Department: Patient Services / Operations
Job Purpose:
To serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing professional reception services and coordinating patient care activities to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and inquiries efficiently.
- Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update patient records and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist patients with registration, insurance verification, and billing inquiries.
- Coordinate between medical staff, departments, and patients for seamless service delivery.
- Handle patient complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Provide patients with information regarding clinic services, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure the reception area is organized, clean, and welcoming.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to assist the Patient Services team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in reception, patient services, or customer service preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, scheduling systems).
