Job Title: Receptionist / Patient Services Coordinator

Department: Patient Services / Operations

Job Purpose:

To serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing professional reception services and coordinating patient care activities to ensure a smooth and positive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and inquiries efficiently.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments and follow-ups.
  • Maintain and update patient records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist patients with registration, insurance verification, and billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate between medical staff, departments, and patients for seamless service delivery.
  • Handle patient complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Provide patients with information regarding clinic services, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure the reception area is organized, clean, and welcoming.
  • Support administrative tasks as needed to assist the Patient Services team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in reception, patient services, or customer service preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, scheduling systems).
