Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive consultation to patients with a range of gastroenterological conditions, including but not limited to gastrointestinal diseases, liver disorders, pancreatic conditions, and other related diseases.
  • Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, including endoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsies.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal issues.
  • Perform therapeutic interventions and procedures, ensuring minimal risk and maximum patient comfort.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care, including referring patients to specialists as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Stay current with the latest research, treatments, and medical advancements in gastroenterology.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families about medical conditions, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, including the Ministry of Health and DOH requirements and guidelines.
  • Participate in regular meetings, case reviews, and continuing medical education (CME) programs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Valid DOH (Department of Health) license to practice in [UAE].
  • Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in a reputable healthcare setting.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in managing a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases and conditions.
