Adheres to the policies, procedures, and clinical standards while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
Follows and implements evidence-based standards of care in all periodontal assessments, treatments, and surgical interventions.
Diagnoses and manages periodontal diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis, through non-surgical and surgical therapies.
Performs advanced periodontal procedures such as flap surgeries, bone grafts, guided tissue regeneration, and soft tissue grafting.
Places and maintains dental implants, ensuring optimal osseointegration and long-term function.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary dental teams—including prosthodontists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons—to deliver integrated patient care.
Educates patients on oral hygiene practices, periodontal maintenance, and post-treatment care to prevent recurrence.
Maintains accurate documentation, treatment planning, and follow-up care in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives and continues professional development through training in new periodontal and implantology techniques.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
A recognized postgraduate residency or specialty training program in Periodontics, typically spanning a minimum of three years.
At least two years of post-specialty clinical experience in Periodontics.
Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (Where applicable).
