Description
Job Purpose / Objective
Responsible for monitoring Quality Improvement and Patient Safety activities across HMG hospitals and participate in maintaining the standards and practices at all times.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Review and implement the policies, procedures and plans of the hospital based on national and international healthcare standards.
- Participate and represent quality team in hospital wide committees and provide technical assistance to hospital wide and department committees in meeting program objectives.
- Responsible for the implementation of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan of the hospital and ensure implementation of National/ International Healthcare Accreditation Standards.
- Educate and train staff on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.
- Participate in processes improvement (Quality Improvement) for all the department in coordination with department coordinators based on the approved criteria.
- Prepare and review Quality Indicators as per the national/ international healthcare requirements and produce these reports to the management on the periodic basis.
- Coordinate and monitor compliance with national and international hospital standards.
- Coordinate data collection, validation analysis, trending and benchmarking.
- Facilitate and monitor the Quality Improvement projects of the hospital.
- Conduct periodic compliance surveys on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.
- Provide education and training on medical records audits and on Quality Improvement Tools and techniques to concerned staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient satisfaction survey tools.
- Review quality improvement and patient safety findings, and formulate recommendations to improve the quality of standards of care.
- Participate and assist in developing, implementing and monitoring clinical care pathways, guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG. CHRD- Organization Effectiveness
- Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
- Perform other relevant tasks assigned as requested by department managers/directors
Requirements
Education/ Professional Qualification
Educational : Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine or Nursing or Hospital Management or Administration from a recognized national or international university
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years working experience in a tertiary healthcare organization in the same position.
Must be involved directly in national (CBAHI) and international accreditation (JCIA) process in the previous organization
