• Assists the Registered Nurse in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
• Is familiar with, and understands, the Severe Care Domains of DOH.
• Monitors the impact of nursing care and maintains ongoing communication with the Registered Nurse regarding the status of patients in their care.
• Demonstrates an understanding and utilization of Evidenced-Based Healthcare.
• Advocates in the best interest of the patient and family at all times.
• Provides education to the family regarding aspects of care as appropriate.
• Demonstrates an ability to assist physicians/therapists with procedures.
• Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
• Adheres to dress code; appearance is professional, neat and clean.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
• Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time.

ESSENTIAL | PREFERRED | |
Education | · Graduate from a recognized nursing school (minimum 2 yrs) | · ACLS (for adult patients) |
· PALS (for pediatric patients) | ||
Experience | · 1 years minimum clinical experience plus 6 months recent experience with ventilated patients (i.e. extra 6 months adult ventilated patients for adult AN’s and extra 6 months pediatric ventilated patients for pediatric AN’s) | · Long term care or rehabilitation experience |
Certification and Licensure | · Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment | |
· Eligible for DOH licensing | ||
Job Specific Knowledge and Skills | · Up to date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues | · Able to speak Arabic |
