Job Description

1. Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthetic assessments for elective and emergency cases across all specialties
• Develop and implement appropriate anesthesia plans based on patient condition and surgical requirements
• Administer anesthesia for all surgical disciplines, including general, cardiac, pediatric, neonatal, obstetrics & gynecology, orthopedic, ENT, and emergency surgeries
• Continuously monitor patients during procedures and manage any complications
• Provide postoperative care, including pain management and recovery supervision

2. Emergency & Critical Care

• Provide anesthesia services for emergency and trauma cases
• Participate in resuscitation efforts (Code Blue) and rapid response teams
• Support ICU services, including airway management and ventilator care

3. On-Call & Shift Coverage

• Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Respond promptly to emergency surgical and obstetric cases during off-hours
• Ensure effective patient handover between shifts to maintain continuity of care

4. Patient Safety & Quality Assurance

• Adhere to hospital policies, international clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and risk management activities

5. Multidisciplinary Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with surgeons, obstetricians, pediatricians, neonatologists, and nursing staff
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and treatment planning
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to junior medical staff and anesthesia technicians

6. Education & Professional Development

• Participate in continuous medical education (CME) and professional development activities
• Support teaching and mentoring of junior doctors and trainees
• Stay updated with advancements in anesthesiology practices

Postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology (MD / DNB / FRCA or equivalent)

Valid UAE medical license (MOH / DHA / DOH) or eligibility

Minimum 10-15 years of post-specialization experience, preferably at Consultant level

Proven experience in handling a wide range of surgical cases across multiple specialties, including high-risk and emergency procedures
