Description

The Registered Midwife at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital Dubai is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and compassionate care to women during pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postpartum period. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and adherence to DHA and JCI standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide full antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, including newborn resuscitation and breastfeeding support.

Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labour, administer medications as per protocol, and assist obstetricians during normal and emergency deliveries.

Educate and counsel expectant mothers and families on childbirth preparation, pain management, and neonatal care.

Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with DHA regulations and hospital policies.

Identify high-risk pregnancies and escalate appropriately to senior medical staff.

Participate in clinical audits, infection control protocols, and continuous professional development (CPD).

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery or Nursing (Midwifery specialization preferred).

License: Valid DHA license or DHA Eligibility Letter (mandatory).

Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Midwife (post-qualification). UAE experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Certifications: Valid BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required; ALS or ALSO preferred.

Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, crisis management, and patient-centered care.
