AstraZeneca is a global, science-led, patient-focused biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development, and commercialization of prescription medicines for some of the world’s most serious diseases. But we’re more than one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
Role Summary
As a Rare Disease leader in the market, we are seeking a Rare Diseases Regional Account Partner (RAP) to join our Commercial Team in Gulf (UAE). This is a full-time field force role, responsible for promoting our products and generating clinically driven demand for our brands across key accounts. The RAP will proactively identify business opportunities, recommend solutions to grow and develop the business, and build strong commercial relationships with opinion leaders and other key stakeholders.
The RAP serves the region as an expert in their therapeutic area, product portfolio, and territory, and works very closely with the Regional Business Manager / Franchise Head to deploy and adapt the AZ account management strategy to the local market, including execution of tactics and account plans. The Regional Account Partner reports directly to the Regional Business Manager and will work closely with the cross-functional team to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to account management and patient access.
The Regional Account Partner will be responsible for promoting Rare Disease medicines with healthcare professionals (HCPs), identifying new patients and patients-on-therapy opportunities, presenting compelling value propositions, and recommending patient-centric solutions. Beyond the typical promotional focus on prescribers and treaters, this role will place strong emphasis on the patient journey, engaging referral specialties to enhance diagnosis, referral pathways, and timely identification of eligible patients. The RAP will also work closely with Market Access to help ensure treatment accessibility and support patients in accessing life-changing medicines.
In doing so, this role will develop strategic and mutually beneficial relationships with healthcare professionals, Key External Experts (KEEs), and other stakeholders, grounded in a deep scientific understanding of the rare disease area and AZ’s therapeutic solutions, in order to identify the best opportunities for the assigned portfolio and deliver meaningful outcomes for patients.
